What you record in norio stays with you.

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the norio iOS app handles information. norio is an independently operated app based in Australia. It is a private, local-first values practice: you can use it without creating an account or giving us personal information.

2. Information you enter into norio

The app lets you record:

• the values you select or create;
• daily ratings associated with those values;
• optional notes and reflections; and
• preferences such as your reminder and app settings.

This information is stored locally on your device so the app can show your daily, weekly, monthly and yearly patterns. It is not sent to norio, its operator, a norio server or a third-party data service. We cannot see, retrieve or use your entries.

3. Information norio does not collect

The norio app does not collect:

• your name, email address or other account details;
• location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone data;
• health, fitness, financial or payment information;
• advertising identifiers or data used to identify your device;
• usage analytics or behavioural profiles; or
• your values, ratings, notes or reminder settings.

The app contains no advertising and does not track you across apps or websites. We do not sell personal information.

4. Notifications

If you choose to enable a daily reminder, norio asks for permission to send notifications. The reminder is scheduled on your device. Enabling notifications does not give us access to your entries or send your reminder activity to us.

You can withdraw this permission at any time in your iPhone's Settings under Notifications → norio. The app remains usable if notifications are turned off.

5. Apple services and third parties

norio does not include third-party advertising, tracking or analytics services, and it does not share app data with third parties because it does not receive that data.

Apple distributes the app and may independently process information relating to downloads, purchases, diagnostics or use of the App Store under Apple's own privacy policy and your device settings. Apple may provide us with aggregated App Store statistics. Those statistics do not include the values, ratings or notes you record in norio.

6. Retention, deletion and device backups

Your app information remains in local storage on your device until you change it or remove the app and its data. To delete all norio information from that device, delete the norio app. Because we do not receive or hold this information, we cannot retrieve, restore or delete it on your behalf.

Depending on your iPhone backup settings, Apple may include local app information in an iCloud or device backup. norio cannot access or control those backups. You can manage them through your Apple Account and iCloud Backup settings.

7. Contacting us

If you email us for support, we receive the email address, message and any information you choose to include. We use it only to respond to you, resolve your request and maintain necessary support records. We do not add support contacts to marketing lists or sell their information.

Support correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably needed to deal with the request, maintain security or meet a legal obligation, and is then deleted. You may ask us to delete your support correspondence by emailing us. Our email service provider processes messages only as necessary to provide the email service and is subject to its own privacy and security obligations.

8. Security

Keeping your entries on your device limits their exposure. You are responsible for protecting access to your iPhone using the security features available on your device. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, but norio minimises risk by not operating a user database or transmitting your entries to us.

9. Children's privacy

norio is not specifically directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The same local-only approach applies to every user.

10. Changes to this policy

If norio's features or privacy practices change, this policy will be updated before those changes take effect where required. The current effective date will always appear at the top of this page.
